Dan has over 20 years experience in the counselling, health and performance coaching industries. Dan currently divides his time working as a counselor for the Better Outcomes in Mental Health program for the Melbourne General Practice Network (formerly Division of General Practice) and in his own Leadership and Organisational development business. Originally trained as a registered nurse Dan spent several years caring for and assisting heart attack patients, heart surgery patients, cancer patients and victims of road and industrial accidents. A desire to improve the well being of his patients and an interest in preventing stress related diseases led Dan to begin his study into behavioural science and psychology in the early 1990’s. Dan uses Cognitive Behavioural, narrative and solution focused approaches to assist his clients to work toward life success, career satisfaction, work life performance, control of stress/depression/relationship problems and substance use. An important focus of Dan’s work is to assist clients with life transitions and acceptance of deeper existential life issues.
